Afrika Ecco takes guests into the depths of Botswana's most wild and wonderful locations. Without the permanent structure of a lodge and the barrier between you and the natural environment, this experience is unbeatable.
Guests are invited to sit back, relax and absorb the wonderful experience without having to contribute to camp duties.
A camp assistant pitches tents and a dedicated chef prepares wholesome meals, while your guide expertly navigates game drives.
A campfire crackles invitingly away in the evenings before a delicious 3-course meal is served al fresco. Lanterns light the campsite keeping things natural and subtle during the peaceful evenings in the bush.
Afrika Ecco stays true to a traditional camping safari, providing all the comfort you need, but without the luxurious extras. The camp is completely mobile and has no permanent structures.
Botswana. The beauty of Afrika Ecco Safaris is that there is no sole location, and the whole trip is an adventure discovering the safari hotspots of the irresistibly wild country.
Itineraries can include: the fan-shaped floodplains of the Okavango Delta; acacia-filled grass plains of the Central Kalahari; game-rich Xinii lagoon in Moremi Game Reserve; endless Makgadikgadi salt pans; northern Chobe’s pristine Savute Marsh.
A day trip to Victoria Falls and a Chobe River boat cruise can be arranged for inclusion in an itinerary.
Guests will arrive in Botswana at Maun Airport where they will be met by their Afrika Ecco guide and transferred through the small town to the pre-arranged accommodation for the night.
Depending on guests’ tailor-made itinerary, the following morning will start with an overland, open-air drive to the first destination.
When travelling to the Okavango Delta campsite of Xaxaba, guests will leave Maun on a boat cruise on the Thamalakane River, embarking on a 3-4 hour cruise into the Delta itself.
